Uzumlu has been a settlement for a long time. The Lycian Way passes through the village. Once called Margaz, it is important for grape growing. As tourism grew, it became a holiday village.
A fishing town with beaches and nature, especially popular with foreign visitors. You will come into town often for supplies. It is a calmer centre than busy Kas.

One of Antalya’s main holiday towns, mixing history with everything a summer trip needs. It is also a hub for reaching nearby ancient cities and beaches.

On the coastal road between Kas and Kalkan, a canyon-mouth beach. The water is often cold because it comes from the valley. There are no businesses, so bring what you need. Natural, cool and sandy.

Among Turkey’s longest beaches, with very fine sand. Close to Patara Ancient City, with an artificial barrier between them. If you reach the beach, visit the ruins too.

Once a major harbour. You meet tombs at the entrance. The Arch of Modestus, the parliament building and the theatre are highlights.

One of Antalya’s best-view sites, once a harbour, with a fine ancient theatre. Add it when you explore around Uzumlu.

One of the largest cities of the Lycian League. Left side: a large necropolis. Right side: a basilica. See both, plus the theatre and monuments.

A sacred city and religious centre, with temples of Apollo, Artemis and Leto. The theatre is built into a hillside. There is also a monastery and a fountain. Smaller than neighbouring sites.

East of Uzumlu, an important Lycian city. The necropolis and theatre sit close together. The Church of St Nicholas nearby is a must.

The harbour of Myra, once strategic. Harbours, a city bath and a church from different periods. Combine it with Myra and the church.
